I consider these photographs as ready-made installations illustrating my concerns of an anthropological language of objects. Indeed, the photographs are the visual result of immersion’s experiences led into different gym centres. For this series, I deliberately placed myself in a position of active observer, which I could relate to the fieldwork methodology used by anthropologists. My recent engagement with this discipline grew into the inherent qualities of objects – people are understood as materially connected to the objects and to the world they inhabit.

This new working behaviour appeared to be an effective way to realign and immerse my body within the process of photography, such that my understanding of the visited spaces allowed me to encompass the full range of the senses that could possibly appear later within the surface of the photographs.
